Two Crusader basketball players earn USCAA and AD3I Player of the Week honors
Per the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA):
Braeton Hightower is the Men's Division I Basketball Player of the Week. Braeton is a Freshman Guard from the University of Dallas. Braeton averaged 19.67 points per game over three games this past week for Dallas, recording game-high's in points for all three games. He was also nearly perfect from the line as he shot 19-20 over the three games.
Cara Sczepanski is the Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Cara is a Senior Forward from the University of Dallas. Cara helped her team finish 2-1 on the week as she picked up two double doubles in the two victories this week. In her most recent win, Cara poured in 18 points (6 for 6 from the free throw line) and 11 rebounds.

Hightower earns Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week honors
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – University of Dallas freshman guard Braeton Hightower (Sperry, Okla.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season. Hightower contributed 19.7 points per game in three games played on the week. He shot 42.5% (17-of-40) from the field and was nearly perfect from the free throw line as he connected on 19-of-20 attempts (95%). Against Hendrix College, he tallied 24 points including four treys.
Sczepanski receives Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week award
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – University of Dallas senior forward Cara Sczepanski (Highland Village, Texas) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season. Sczepanski nearly averaged a double double on the week as she produced 15.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest. Dallas went 2-1 on the week, including wins over Eastern Connecticut State and Hendrix. Sczepanski's best performance came against Hendrix when she tallied 18 points and nabbed 11 boards.
