    IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas athletics department celebrated its sixth annual end of the year banquet on Sunday, May 5, at the Hagger University Center. Each coach from the 15 NCAA affiliated programs took a moment to speak on behalf of their program, as well as recognize those that received postseason achievements highlighted by each team’s Most Valuable Player (Listed at bottom).

    LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its 11th annual winter All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 32 student-athletes were selected to the 2018-19 squad in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's swimming and diving and women's swimming and diving.

    UNIONTOWN, Pa. - The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) announced its National All-Academic winners for Division I & Division II basketball during its National Championship Banquet at Seven Springs Resort on Saturday, March 2nd and Wednesday, March 6th. The USCAA National All-Academic award is given to student-athletes with at least 24 credits and a 3.5 GPA.

    SEGUIN, Texas – A thrilling Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tournament ended on Sunday with the fifth-seeded University of Dallas men’s basketball team unable to pull its third upset in as many days to second-seeded Texas Lutheran University in a double overtime, 99-95, final in the SCAC Men’s Basketball Championship.

    SEGUIN, Texas - The fifth-seeded University of Dallas men's basketball team pulled another upset, this time taking top-seeded Southwestern University, 91-84, on the campus of Texas Lutheran University in the first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) semifinal game on Saturday evening. The victory lifted the Crusaders to their program's first-ever SCAC men's basketball championship game.

    SEGUIN, Texas – The fifth-seeded University of Dallas men’s basketball defeated fourth-seeded Schreiner University in a nailbiter that saw neither team ahead by more than four points to open the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men’s Basketball Tournament on Friday evening at host Texas Lutheran University. The Crusaders scored the final six points to match their largest lead of the game, which came as the final score 68-64.

    SEGUIN, Texas - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tournament begins this Friday, February 22, in Seguin, Texas, on the campus of Texas Lutheran University. The University of Dallas men's basketball team earned the fifth seed after tying Trinity University with a 6-10 conference record. Dallas won the tiebreaker by virtue of its season series split over top-seeded Southwestern University.

    SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball team concluded the regular season with a 68-55 setback at Trinity University on Saturday evening. The Crusaders finished 9-16 overall and 6-10 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). Trinity improved to 6-19 overall and also finished 6-10 in league play. Both teams secured a final berth into the SCAC Tournament on Friday with Austin College falling at Texas Lutheran University.

    KERRVILLE, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball team dropped an 83-62 road contest at Schreiner University on Friday night. It was the second loss in a row in as many games to the Mountaineers (14-11, 10-6 SCAC), who continue their torrid climb up the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) standings. Dallas (9-15, 6-9 SCAC) has dropped its past four games in conference play.
  • Schreiner Uses 2nd Half to Edge Crusaders on Senior Day

    IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball team led at halftime for the first time in three conference games this week, but Schreiner University improved its shooting in the final 20 minutes, hitting nearly 60 percent during that span and draining eight 3-pointers to anchor a 15-point scoring swing in a 78-69 final on Saturday. The Crusaders (9-14, 6-8 SCAC) dropped their third straight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) contest this week and closed the home season at 5-7.

    IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball team dropped a 73-62 final to Texas Lutheran University on Friday night at the Maher Center. Despite outshooting the Bulldogs (15-7, 10-3 SCAC) 58.3 percent (14-24) to 34.8 percent (8-23) in the second half from the field; TLU kept its grip on first place in the conference thanks to making 17-of-28 free throws in that frame.

  • Crusaders Blow Past Southwestern Adventist

    IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball team held its opposition to 70 points in both victories this week and prevailed by two more points than its earlier triumph with a 19-point final over Southwestern Adventist University on Saturday night at the Maher Center. The Crusaders (9-11) were one point shy of tying a season-most, but did score a new best on the year in field goals with 35 makes. That total reflected a great shooting night of 49.3 percent that included 50 percent (16-32) in the opening half to build a 39-20 advantage.

    SHERMAN, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball team held Austin College scoreless for over 10 minutes between two halves and used a 21-point difference in that span to grab a double-digit lead that held on a Tuesday night conference game. Dallas (8-11, 6-5 SCAC) moved back over .500 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) standings and avenged an earlier setback to the ‘Roos (7-12, 3-7) at the Maher Center in December.

    IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball team dropped a 78-68 final on Saturday afternoon to Johnson & Wales University (CO). The Crusaders battled to a six-point difference (68-74) with under a minute remaining after down as many as 17 about three minutes prior. However, the Wildcats (14-6, 7-4 SCAC) took advantage of 18 turnovers and scored a 26-5 edge on the miscues over Dallas.

After handing Southwestern University its first conference loss a week ago, the Pirates (9-8, 6-2 SCAC) got back on track with a 93-67 final on Saturday night.
