LONGVIEW, Texas – The University of Dallas men's golf team wrapped up the Pinecrest Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Pinecrest Country Club. The Crusaders posted a 307 in the third round to compile a 912 overall in the two-day competition. That score placed the team in seventh place.
Tyler Junior College and Bethany College (KS) won the tournament with an 875. Houston-Victoria scored a 898, while University of Texas at Tyler finished third and with the lowest NCAA Division III finish at 903.
Will Doctor (Houston, Texas) carded the best UD total on the round, and matched a personal-best 71 for the third time overall in 2017-18.
Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.) led the team with a 224 overall and tied 13th. Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) also finished within the top 20 (tied 16th) with a 227 in the three rounds. His 76 on Tuesday was the second best result for Dallas.
Dallas is back on the links on March 17th-18th at the Texas Cup hosted by University of Texas at Dallas. This tournament will be played at Watters Creek Golf Club in Plano.
