After notching a record of 7-11-1 in 2010, Corona secured the services of 16 incoming freshman. Dallas improved to 11-7-2 on the 2011 season, and were in contention for a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) postseason berth as a first-year member of the conference. The team went 2-5-1 against SCAC competition.
Thus far, Corona to her credit has (2) United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-Americans and (3) Honorable Mention selections, to go with (6) USCAA All-Academic honorees.
In addition, (2) players were tabbed to the 2011 SCAC Third Team, including sophomore goalkeeper Brigid Hasson, Dallas' two-time Most Valuable Player.
Hasson was named by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) to the 2011 Capital One All-District First Team. In 2011, she registered a .72 goals-against-average in 20 starts for Dallas, while achieving seven shutouts.
An experienced soccer player and coach, Corona played varsity soccer at The University of Tulsa (TU), and holds a Class "D" National Coaching License.
As a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division-I student-athlete, Corona starred on the field and in the classroom. She was a forward and midfielder for TU, a school which competed in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and Conference USA (C-USA) while she was with the team. In May 2009, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Spanish from TU.
After graduation, Corona played in the Women’s Premier Soccer League for the Fort Worth FC Panthers.
From Nov. 2009 - Apr. 2010, Corona served as a club coach for the Solar Soccer Club in McKinney, Texas, and has held positions in several YMCA Soccer Camps in Okla. and Texas. She has also helped as a staff coach for Forth Worth FC (FWFC).
During summer 2011, Corona worked collegiate women's soccer camps across the nation, which included assisting NCAA Division-I programs such as Duke University, Stanford University and the University of Texas. 2011 National Champion Stanford defeated Duke, 1-0, in the NCAA title game.
Corona resides in Farmers Branch, Texas.
