IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's and men's lacrosse teams are home a final time this regular season. On Saturday, the Dallas women's lacrosse team hosts St. Edwards University at 5 p.m. On Sunday, the Dallas men's lacrosse team will play its last home game before the SCAC Tournament with Hardin-Simmons University at 1 p.m.
Each team will be honoring its seniors before the start of their respective matches. A quintet of players on the women's team are Sarah Gamble (Allen, Texas), Lexi Leite (Houston, Texas), Erika Keever (Fort Worth, Texas), Ella Pedrozo (Austin, Texas), and Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.). Being recognized before the men's match will be: Ben Blessard (Falls Church, Va.), Will McEvoy (Dallas, Texas), Joshua McClendon (San Diego, Calif.), and Tyler Smith (Snoqualmie, Wash.).
Leite paces the Crusaders offense with 54 games and now ranks 2nd all-time in the program with 154. Jake Frederick (Coppell, Texas) has scored in the last six matches for the men's team.
Both opponents are club teams, so statistics will not be NCAA countable or go towards the SCAC. They will count for the Dallas program all-time marks.
The men's lacrosse team plays at Southwestern University on April 13 for a 1 p.m. start.
Both lacrosse teams finish the regular season on a road trip to Colorado. They both will play Johnson & Wales University (CO) on Apr. 20. The women's team has a neutral site match with Loras College on the 18th.
